Making different kinds of ebooks accessible

  • Reflowable Ebooks

The most common ebook format, reflowables are highly adaptable and customizable to the reader’s needs. Perfect for novels, nonfiction, and other text-heavy books, they are also the most straightforward to make accessible, in both layout and content. We offer options others don’t. Get in touch!

  • Fixed-layout Ebooks

This kind of ebook is static, or “fixed,” and so less adaptable by nature. Suited to picture books, graphic novels, and other highly-illustrated books, this format can be made accessible with a thoughtful strategy. As with reflowable ebooks, we offer options others don’t.

  • DAISY Talking Books (DTB)

Designed for print-disabled readers, including sers of braille devices, DTBs can be consumed visually, tactilely, via audio, or in combination. We have some exciting things going on. Drop us a line!

Audio Narration Options
Acme offers all our EPUBs and DTBs with recorded narration (not synthesized voice or AI) that syncs at the word, sentence, or paragraph level.
