About Acme

Acme Books is a new-ish venture with long roots in book publishing. It is a coalition of professionals who feel strongly about making books that are well-designed, thoughtful, and work for everyone. We are typesetters, ebook developers, book production experts, and content creators. Laura Brady and colleagues bring their prodigious experience and expertise to helping think through publishing projects. Our team includes people intimately familiar with accessibility certification standards, PDF accessibility experts, folks who love to experiment with media overlays, and many decades of experience in book publishing.

Acme Books have been the ideal partner in creating accessible books, especially as we’ve become a Benetech Certified publisher. It’s clear in the questions they ask and the suggestions they make that they’re treating all of our projects as creative book projects, not just files to be converted. They’re friendly, efficient, and almost upsettingly good at what they do. We’re glad they use their powers for good.
